Terms of Service

Last updated: 16 April 2026

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using TenantTruth.co.uk ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time; continued use of the Platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and a current or former tenant in the United Kingdom to submit reviews on TenantTruth. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet these requirements and that the information you provide is accurate.

3. Verified Tenant reviews

To submit a review, you must verify your email address. This earns you the "Verified Tenant" badge. You may submit one review per letting agent. Reviews must reflect your genuine, first-hand experience as a tenant. Submitting false or misleading reviews is strictly prohibited and may result in account suspension.

4. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to: submit reviews you did not personally experience; include defamatory, abusive, or unlawful content; post personal information of third parties; attempt to manipulate ratings; use the Platform to advertise services; or attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the Platform's operation.

5. Content ownership

You retain ownership of reviews you submit. By submitting content, you grant TenantTruth a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and promote that content in connection with operating and improving the Platform.

6. Content removal

We reserve the right to remove any review or content that violates these terms, is the subject of a credible legal complaint, or that we determine in our sole discretion to be harmful, false, or inappropriate. If you believe a review about your business is false, please contact us with evidence.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

TenantTruth is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not verify the accuracy of reviews beyond the email-verification requirement. Reviews represent the personal opinions of individual tenants and do not constitute professional advice.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TenantTruth shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, reliance on any review, or any action taken based on information on the Platform.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
